Most managers freeze at the first conversation

Neurodiversity training is most often a one-hour awareness session about what ADHD, autism and dyslexia are. Necessary, but rarely sufficient. The moment that actually matters is the one when a team member discloses, asks for an adjustment, or struggles in a way that might be neurodivergent and might not be — and the manager has to decide what to do.

The Right Call: Neurodiversity at Work puts managers inside five of those moments and shows what happens depending on their choice. There’s no “correct” answer screen — each option plays out so managers see the difference clearly between being supportive, being patronising, and getting reasonable adjustments wrong.

Scenarios are drawn from real cases, anonymised. Grounded in the Equality Act 2010 (neurodivergence often qualifies as a disability), ACAS guidance, and current UK occupational health practice. One licence covers your whole organisation.

Five scenarios
  • The Late Diagnosis
A team member discloses an adult ADHD diagnosis — what your first response signals about everything that follows.
  • The Meeting Struggle
Reasonable adjustments in practice — the difference between policy compliance and actually helping someone do their best work.
  • The Performance Concern
When performance and neurodivergence intersect — and the line between supporting someone and lowering the bar.
  • The New Starter
Onboarding a neurodivergent new joiner — the structural choices that make the difference in the first month.
  • The Missed Diagnosis
An employee struggling who may be undiagnosed — what you can and can’t say, and what to do anyway.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the training take to complete?
Around 10 minutes per learner. Five scenarios with three choices each, plus a short knowledge primer at the start and a key-takeaways screen at the end. Learners can pause and resume; the SCORM package saves state.
Can I deploy this on our LMS?
Yes. The package is supplied as SCORM 1.2, which works in any LMS — TalentLMS, Moodle, Cornerstone, Workday Learning, Bridge and others. You can also host it on your intranet as a standalone HTML file if you don’t use an LMS.
Is this a replacement for neurodiversity awareness training?
No, it complements it. Awareness training teaches managers what ADHD, autism, dyslexia and dyspraxia are, and how they typically show up. This module focuses on what happens after — the disclosure, the adjustment request, the performance question. Use them together.
Does the module cover specific conditions or stay general?
It refers to specific conditions in the scenarios — ADHD in the disclosure scenario, sensory and processing differences in others — but the manager-level decisions it teaches apply across neurodivergent profiles. The aim isn’t to make managers amateur diagnosticians; it’s to give them the judgment to support effectively.
Can I customise this for our organisation?
Not out of the box. It’s deliberately industry-neutral so it works across sectors. If you need bespoke versions with your branding, policies or sector-specific situations, get in touch — we offer this as a paid service.
What’s the licensing model?
One-time purchase of £149. Unlimited internal users. No annual renewals, no per-seat fees. The licence covers use within your organisation in perpetuity. If you’re a training provider planning to resell or use it with clients, contact us about a commercial licence.
